How to Make a Paper Flower Daffodil

Tissue Paper Flowers are so beautiful and fun to make. It's a great activity to do with your kids. You can read the instructions and watch the detailed video below. Let's get started!

What you'll need:
Tissue paper in in orange and yellow.
Green pipe cleaner
Free Printed Pattern

Step 1: Save the image below and print out pattern. Then, cut out the pieces.

Step 2: Cut out 2 yellow pieces using the daffodil petals pattern.
Step 3: Fold the daffodil petal pieces in half 3 different ways so that there is a crease in
each petal piece. This will give the flower depth.

Step 4: Cut out 2 orange pieces using the daffodil center pattern.
Step 5: Cut out 1 yellow piece using the stem piece pattern.
Step 6: Fold the stem piece in half long ways and put the pipe cleaner in the center.
Wrap the piece around the pipe cleaner then fold the pipe cleaner under.
Step 7: From the bottom of the pipe cleaner (not the wrapped end) poke the pipe cleaner through the daffodil center pieces. Push the pieces up to the top then scrunch together firmly.
Step 8: From the bottom of the pipe cleaner, poke through the daffodil petal pieces. Lightly scrunch the petals if needed.

Step 9: Open up the daffodil center pieces lightly.
Step 10: Bend the stem down so that the flower faces forward when holding the stem upright.
